Add Captions to Your iPhone Photos with Picture Caption
Some apps are very utilitarian. Useful. Simple. Designed for a very narrow purpose, but serves that purpose well.
Such is the case with Picture Caption. This app, currently priced at $1.99, allows you to add text to any photo on the camera roll. There are presets to add the date, time, or date and time to your photos in either the top or bottom right, left, or center. You can also add a custom line of text, in any of the same locations. Fonts are changeable and customizable. Settings are applied to photos taken within the application or to existing photos on the camera roll. Changes are automatically saved in the camera roll.
While I do not want a time and date on my photos there are times when a caption would be nice. For example, if I post an iPhone photo online I might want to include “2011 Mike Kennamer” to identify the photo as mine. It’s very simple to do with this app.
I did experience a couple of crashes while reviewing this app. There were times that the app would close unexpectedly. Even so, this is a useful app with a definite utilitarian purpose. Enjoy!
