Pentax Optio W90 Now Available in Orange

Canon PowerShot SD4000 IS Digital ELPH Camera

May 15, 2010 – Canon announced their newest addition to the PowerShot Digital ELPH camera series, the SD4000 IS. This stylish new powerhouse point-and-shoot is the first ELPH series to offer a high-sensitivity system, known as Canon’s HS SYSTEM, with a 10MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor and bright f/2.0 lens. These features combined with the DIGIC 4 image processor allows users to shoot in low-light situations without the need for a flash, resulting in a more natural look and the f/2.o lens provides greater depth of field, making it a great tool for those interested in portrait photography.

Samsung Bundles Boingo Wi-Fi with New Digital Cameras

May 15, 2010 – Boingo Wireless, the global leader in Wi-Fi, announced that Samsung’s new Wi-Fi enabled digital cameras will be pre-loaded with Boingo software, allowing customers to connect to 125,000 Boingo Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide for on-the-go photo and video sharing.
Initially the Boingo software will be pre-installed on the Samsung CL80 digital camera and users will be offered three months of complimentary Boingo Wi-Fi access. Support for additional models will be announced as they become available.

Pentax X90 Megazoom Digital Camera

Feb 28, 2010 – Pentax introduced their new megazoom digital camera, the X90. It features a 12.1MP sensor, 26x super-telephoto lens that has an equivalent of
26-676mm and has a macro mode that focuses to less than on inch from the camera. Other features include a 2.7” LCD, Eye-Fi wireless SD memory card connectivity, 720p HD video, HDMI port for photo and video playback, Triple Shake Reduction technology, high speed continuous shooting up to 11 frames per second and face detection.
The Pentax X90 will ship in April for $399.95.

The W90 is waterproof to 20 feet, shockproof from up to a 4foot drop, coldproof to sub-freezing temperatures and dustproof. Designed for that rugged outdoor look, the W90 includes a woven strap with carabiner to attach it to a backpack and other outdoor gear.
Features include a 12.1MP sensor, 28-140mm wide-angle lens with optical zoom, 2.7” LCD with 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and Digital Microscope mode with LED lighting to capture the smallest and closest macro subjects as near as 1cm from the camera. Additional features include Eye-Fi wireless SD memory card connectivity, Advanced Pixel Track Shake Reduction, Face Detection, Smile Capture and Autofocus assist lamp. The W90 will shoot 720p HD video at 30 fps and the included HDMI port allows playback on your HD TV.

The H55 features a 14.1MP CCD sensor, 25mm wide-angle lens with 10x optical zoom and a 3” LCD. Additional features include Sony’s Sweep Panorama technology, Optical SteadyShot™ image stabilization, Smile Shutter™ and Auto modes to make it easy to get the best shot in any lighting situation.
The TX5 is the worlds thinnest and smallest certified waterproof digital still camera that features a 10.2MP “Exmor R” CMOS sensor that is also certified to be freeze proof down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit and shockproof up to a 5-foot drop. Other features include 25mm wide-angle lens with 4x optical zoom, 3” LCD touch screen display that functions even underwater, Sweep Panorama, in-camera HDR and great low light shooting capabilities. The TX5 is also dust proof making it a great choice for on-the-go.

Samsung’s Waterproof AQ100 and Durable SL605

Feb 21, 2010 – Following the trend of active lifestyle cameras, Samsung announced the waterproof AQ100 and the durable SL605. Both cameras feature a 12MP sensor, 5x optical zoom, 2.7” LCD and Smart Auto technology. The AQ100 is waterproof up to 10 feet and features Aqua mode for optimal underwater photos and 720p HD video.
The SL605 features Samsung’s Anti Scratch Mask to protect from unwanted scratches and key areas are rubberized to protect from dust, dirt and sand. The Smart Night Mode will allow you to capture sharp, properly exposed images by automatically adjusting the power of the flash to prevent wash out of your subject.
Both cameras will be available in the spring and the AQ100 will sell for $199.99 and the SL605 for $129.99.
