Photographer Geoff Sanders, who co-founded Modelrific™ along with entrepreneur Steve Ranieri noted, “Many websites have tried to be the answer that models, photographers, and other industry professionals around the world have looked for. As a member of these sites I always found them to lack crucial features, aesthetics, and professionalism, and it has long been a goal of mine to create a community built on these foundations, and I’m proud to announce Modelrific.com will now fill the gap these other sites have left behind.” Read More→

Feb 14, 2010 - Probably the biggest buzz going around the web this week was the announcement of Google Buzz. It’s been a trending topic on twitter and all of the tech blogs have been talking about it. So what exactly is Google Buzz?
Buzz is a new product from Google that integrates social networking into Gmail. If you’re familiar with twitter, FriendFeed and Facebook then you’ll see some similarities in this product. Rather than going out and finding people to “follow” or “friend”, Buzz does it for you by automatically following the people you email and chat with the most. You can make your posts public or private and you can easily integrate your twitter feed, photos from Picassa and Flickr, videos on YouTube and share your Google Reader subscriptions.
When new posts and comments are added, they pop in automatically so there is no need to refresh the screen. When comments are made to your posts they’re sent to your Gmail inbox so it’s easy to keep the conversation going. Buzz will even make recommendations of interesting posts and weed out the ones you may not be interested in. Read More→
In today’s competitive world, it’s becoming harder and harder to get the attention of our prospective clients. Advertising is everywhere, and the consumer has become immune to traditional marketing methods. To get that needed attention we have to think outside the box and try new things. Many companies have found success using social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook, gaining exposure for their brands through relationship building. On the other hand, many companies have failed by trying to “sell” through social networks, missing the whole point of being “social”.
A great example of thinking outside the box was in a recent social media campaign from IKEA. Their ad agency, Forsman & Bodenfors, created the concept of tying photos from IKEA’s showroom catalog to a store manager’s Facebook profile, drawing fans in through a giveaway promotion. Read More→
