Photographer Geoff Sanders, who co-founded Modelrific™ along with entrepreneur Steve Ranieri noted, “Many websites have tried to be the answer that models, photographers, and other industry professionals around the world have looked for.  As a member of these sites I always found them to lack crucial features, aesthetics, and professionalism, and it has long been a goal of mine to create a community built on these foundations, and I’m proud to announce Modelrific.com will now fill the gap these other sites have left behind.”   Read More→

PhotoDeck LogoAug 12, 2010PRESS SUMMARYPhotoDeck is a service designed to offer photographers a brandable e-commerce solution for presentation and distribution of their images. PhotoDeck was built by a group of professional photographers seeking alternatives to stock licensing outside of the typical stock agency model. It allows self-pricing and sales without the expense of agency commissions.

“Licensing stock has traditionally been an either/or proposition. Either let an agent in for a high percentage or try to make a name for yourself on your own”, said Stephen Kennedy, a stock portrait photographer. “PhotoDeck’s strength is the almost limitless customization that allows me to add and modify features with ease, while presenting my images in a similar manner as the mega agencies.”

As social networks and search engines increasingly provide opportunities for photographers to market themselves, many see the future in their own branded e-commerce website. Read More→

Picasa LogoMay 2, 2010 - Google just updated their Picasa service by adding links to make it easier to share a photo or an entire album on Google Buzz, Blogger and Twitter. When viewing a photo, you’ll now see icons to the right for each social network. Simply click the appropriate icon, customize your message and post it. Google also updated the “Link to Photo” URL so that the album name is hidden on the viewer’s photo page, making it possible to share just one photo within an album keeping the rest of it private. See the Google blog for more details.
