Get Your Pano on with Panorama Free
By
Have you ever bought one of those disposable panoramic cameras? Probably not. Readers of CurrentPhotographer.com are probably to technologically advanced for those. Your probably shoot panoramas in your sleep, stitching them together effortlessly. Not me. I haven’t done much pano stuff, but I recall taking some cool shots using a disposable pano film camera. When it comes to panos I like simple.
That’s what I was looking for when I began to look for a pano camera app for my iPhone. And found it, I did.
Panorama Free by Free the Apps is an easy-to-use and cool panorama app. Okay, it’s not as easy as a point and shoot disposable pano camera, but it’s close. You simply start on the left side of your frame. Take the first shot then pan right, line up the ghosted edge of your other shot and shoot the next one. Shampoo, rinse, repeat. Or something like that.
As you can see, the app takes some nice shots. If I had a wish list I would hope for a built-in app that would let me edit the photo to correct the bands caused by different lighting. However, at free you can’t beat the price. So download, synch and shoot.
All the best…Mike
