Scott Holstein is a freelance photographer based in Tallahassee, Florida. He specializes in environmental portraiture and other on location photography.
This video is a behind the scenes look at how Scott made the image “Quagmire.” He set up a scene with a beautiful woman and her unlikely companion in a Florida swamp at dusk. For lighting he used two speedlights which were hidden in the lanterns.

Everyone continues to ask what Scott Holstein had to do to convince me to do this shoot. You have to make sacrifices for beautiful art. When Scott informed me of his vision, he inspired me to do what I had to do to get the shot. We have been planning this shoot for over a year. I guess a years worth of anticipation gave me the guts to walk through alligator infested waters, etc etc. Scott the image was everything and more of what we planned. Thanks for letting me be a part of it!
