A video leaked onto Youtube has sparked rumors about handset manufacturer HTC working on an impressive 16-megapixel smartphone. Although HTC is not confirming the rumors, the video’s story-board styled ad-spot also describes the phone as featuring duel LED flashes.

If released to the public, this HTC concept would be the highest megapixel phone produced. Currently, the highest megapixel ratings belong to Nokia’s recently announced N8 symbian phone, which includes a 12-megapixel camera sensor, and Altek’s Leo which has 14-megapixels.

Pocketnow.com was the first to leak the video and images of the device on Monday, and report that the concept may come with the Windows Phone 7 OS. This could be great news for Window Phone 7’s fans, who have praised Microsoft’s focus on devices having a dedicated camera button and rapid picture taking capabilities.
