Space Exploration on a Budget

Ok this video was filled with such geeky goodness I just had to share it. I found out about it from Cali Lewis’ podcast, Geekbeat.tv. It has nothing to do with photography other than the creators used an HD video camera to capture the event and used an iPhone for its GPS tracking capabilities.

A group of friends called the Brooklyn Space Program, created a homemade vessel that held an HD camcorder and iPhone. The vessel was attached to a weather balloon and launched into the upper stratosphere. The camcorder inside the vessel captured the entire trip up and back. This was just to cool!
