Feb 21, 2010 – Samsung announced two new pocket-sized camcorders, the HMX-U20 and HMX-U15. Both cameras shoot 1920×1080 Full-HD video in the H.264 format and feature Hyper Digital Image Stabilization for a blur-free image. Video and still images are stored on SD/SDHC memory cards and the swing-out USB 2.0 arm makes it easy to transfer the files to your computer. The 2” LCD provides viewing for recording and you can playback videos on your HD TV using the built-in HDMI port.
One of the coolest features of Samsung’s new HMX camcorders is the time-lapse video recording. Users can program the camcorder to record at a pre-set interval of one image every 1, 5, 10 or 30 seconds.
This is especially useful for condensing extremely long events into a short, easy to-view video.
Both camcorders will be available in the spring and the HMX-20 will sell for $249.99 and the
HMX-15 for $229.99.
